soy candlesYour soy candle remembers.  It remembers how long you let it burn the time before.  To improve your soy candle burn, you need to remember to enhance its memory.  To do this just simply let it burn for the first time until the wax is completely melted across the top of your soy candle.  Then the next time that you burn it, it will remember to also melt in this pattern, completely across the top.

If you only allow your soy candle to burn part way across, the next time it will do exactly the same thing.  You will then get what is called tunneling down the center of your candle.  The outside wax will not melt, but instead the inside pattern of melting will continue each time you burn your soy candle.  This will cut the life of your soy candle.  So give your soy candle a memory boost and let it completely liquefy across the surface before you put it out.  Memory boost=longer life!

soy candles                   What is soot?  Ever had a candle that has black around the inside of the glass jar?  The dictionary says: “soot is the black substance that is formed when something burns”.  Traditional candles {paraffin} are made from petroleum products which contain many carcinogenic toxins.  When traditional candles burn they release these toxic substances, which in turn forms the soot.  The soot not only attaches itself to the jar, but to your walls, ceiling, furniture and even ventilation ducting.

One way to reduce the soot emissions in your home is to burn soy candles.  They are made from soybeans.  Soy wax burns cleaner than traditional pafaffin candles and is non-toxic.  So when you burn soy candles, the air in your home is not being polluted by toxic carcinogens.  Also the home itself and decor will appreciate the fresh look it will be able to retain, instead of the newely acquired sooty look.  It makes health sense to burn soy candles!
